The School Safety Indoor Mapping Proof of Concept Project partnered the Concho Valley Council of Governments (CVCOG 9-1-1), Mason High School, GeoComm, and the Commission on State Emergency Communications (CSEC) to create a digital indoor map from scratch, develop a high school class curriculum to attribute the map via student crowdsourced data, implement processes to upload quality-controlled map data to the 9-1-1 map, and experiment with ways to improve indoor call accuracy location computation within the school. These processes were designed to guide best practice recommendations for replication of the project throughout Texas.
