It is the policy of the Concho Valley Council of Governments to serve the people of Texas. The general public is granted certain rights under the Texas Public Information Act to view or receive a copy of the documents and electronically stored information held by these institutions except where the law recognizes the confidentiality of certain records. The Texas Public Information Act does not require governmental bodies to create new information, perform legal research, or to answer questions. The request must ask for records or information already in existence. Please be advised there may be a charge for copies of public information in accordance with state law.

Because the Texas Public Information Act is only activated by a written request for documents, all requests for copies of CVCOG records must be in writing. Requests can be submitted in the following manner:

If a request is received by any employee of the CVCOG or any of its components, it shall be forwarded immediately to the Open Records Manager or forwarded by email to: openrecords@cvcog.org.
